I purchased EBC-OEM Rotors and Green Pads for my MGB and had the Lockheed calipers rebuilt. I have great news about the EBC brake performance and some bad news to tell you about installing them. I explain it in detail in the following video, but I must say that these are the BEST brakes ever for an MGB! They’re biting power far exceeds anything I have ever put on the MGB.
The bad news, which is not really that bad, is their Black Geomet and Nitrotherm anti-corrosive finish on the rotors in the area where the pads touch. Simply said, I’m not a fan of this. Here is why…
Update: After sending this post to EBC, their response was “We are actually removing this coating on all our discs (Other than 2pc floating discs)”
Excellent blog and video series about the frickin break sequeal – which I also have on my MGB GT since changing the calipers and pads.
Until now I was a fan of the Mintex M1144 pads with standard discs – but after watching your praise to the EBC disk and pads I will give them a try.
Cheers
Tim

If you changed your calipers to new ones, try to find original ones and get them rebuilt. Lockeed
