Today I went through the exercise to change both my head light and high beam on the R1200R so I will be able to do it on the road. The F-700GS was easy peazy and could be done sitting on the bike. But the R100R looked to be a bit more intimidating.
It turned out to be fine and would be easy to do on the road with the exception of the final torque and confirmation of the headlight adjustment.
Have a look…
Remember when your headlight choices were round or square, single or dual beam?
I’ve had bikes that were dead easy – pull a plug, untwist a bulb, reverse, and done – and some that are so awkwardly behind frame and/or bodywork it makes you want to scream, or cry, trying to get it out. These are pretty good, although more to unscrew than I expected.
Cheers

Yep, this one is doable on the road but not to spec whereas the F700GS you simply pulled out a clip, changed the bulb and reattached the clip. There was a screw cap right behind dash. I could do it without getting off the bike in about 2-minutes. This one can be changed but may be out of alignment and the torque values would not be correct. If over torqued, it also could be an issue.

So… my Vespa headlight is WAY more yellow than that, and my LED running lights are beautiful white like yours BUT… while I would love uniformity… I haven’t yet been bothered enough to address the problem. Out of sight (mostly), out of mind.
In my defense, the air hose connecting the compressor to my Stebel horn was slightly kinked, causing the horn to wheeze (which you can hear on episode 44 of my vlog. THAT I fixed. Came in handy the other day to warn someone who was about to cut me off.
Now I’m jealous of your uniformly white lights.
Thank you.

Would anyone know of a private Vespa mechanic in or near Peterborough. I’m talking older Vespas here. I have a 1979 P200E. Thanks.
