So Friday I stopped at Good Time Center to pick up of few items and parked outside in the parking lot were a couple of two wheeled vehicles that I had not seen in a very long while.
An old Kawasaki KZ 750 and an old Yamaha Scooter Riva 180. The Riva entered our marketplace in 1983 a year before Honda got their big scooter to market. The Riva is quite fast with a top speed of 70 MPH (112 Km/Hr) which is as good as the Vespa 300.
The 750 was introduced in and around 1978. I actually owned a KZ 400 in 1978.
Well, here they are…
My newest bike is a decade old, and my oldest is 50 (or 51 if you date from the engine). There are great new bikes, but there’s some good older stuff around. Friend of mine who sold me the FJR has a brand new CB1100, and its inspiration, a mint 1976 CB750. Old is new again!
