We left Friday mid afternoon and had a beautiful ride down from Ottawa to Wolf Island through the back roads (Smith Falls, Portland and more). It was a hot and sunny day. We checked into our Bed and Breakfast then reported to Chase the Wolf at Wolf Island Inn sitting on the patio in the harbor. This is where it all started with riders such as Stephanie Yue who rode in from Boston to David Masse riding in from Toronto. A picture is worth more than a thousand words and a video is worth even more…
We decided to stay on the island at Blue Horizon Bed and Breakfast.
Great video. Wish I could have joined you. Glad Stephanie was there from Boston.

Would you be interested in my Russell Daylong Seat, Back support and matching top box back support? I may be selling my scoot and not sure anyone would pay for that?

Peter,
I might be interested. How have you found the seat to be? I’m not at all dissatisfied with the stock seat. Is the Russell Seat SIGNIFICANTLY more comfortable than the stock seat? Is there any downside to the Russell Seat?
I have followed your blog ever since you started it. Are you giving up riding Vespas entirely? For years you have been committed to Vespa scooters. I know BMW cycles are great bikes, I’m considering purchasing one myself.
But I hope you’re not entirely giving up on Vespas. Say it isn’t so!

Stephanie appeared on a Scooterwest podcast in 2016. One of their best podcasts.

The Russell Day long is incredibly more comfortable. I will give up on modern Vespa’s because when given the choice to ride distances or even across town I choose the BMW. However, with that said, I may seek out a Vintage Vespa to rebuild.
