Chantal and I paddled around the opposite side of Silver Lake this morning before the winds picked up. Then I took the time to practice my solo paddling while Porthos observed and critiqued and Chantal snapped a few pictures and unleashed a video recording. We find that the mornings here are wonderful then comes the afternoon winds until 6:30-7:00 when it becomes calm again. It seems like every time I kneel into a canoe I become slightly more stable and my strokes become slower, smoother,  deeper and more effective. This is a past time when combined with photography is growing on me even more than motorcycling. Oh yes, I probably forgot to mention that I have custom ordered a canoe from Swift in Algonquin that will be ready for pick up on July 27th, 2016. There will be more to come on this topic so stay tuned….
