Yes, it is that time again when I move onto my next adventure and this time it is an adventure bike. I am considering the new Tiger 800 2015 with wireless throttle that will come with cruise control and traction control.
So for now, my 2014 CTX700N fully equipped is for sale. This bike has an extraordinary amount of extras included and is ready for your next adventure. The following accessories are included with the purchase price. What is not included is the cost of installation which would also be well over $ 1,000.00 at a Honda Dealer.
The Honda CTX700N is offered new at the dealer at $ 7249.00 plus freight and preparation of approximately $ 700.00 for a total before tax of $ 7,949.00.
I realize that the typical depreciation is 35% on the bike. Therefore I am asking the following price or best offer:
SOLD

I have come to realize that there are two types of motorcycles, Type one looks and sounds amazing while Type 2 is comfortable, functional and performs well in any environment. The issue with motorcycles is you can never get to properly test drive them such as taking it on a two day trip riding 8 hours each day to determine the rider fatigue, back issues and so on. My bike is very comfortable as are many on a test drive for an hour or so. I think that I am seeing a switch in this area across Canada and the United States. There seems to be more and more riders trading in their cruisers for adventure bikes. If you look at the used bikes at the Ottawa Good Time Center they are almost all cruiser style and their inventory is huge. In fact, they are not offering a trade-in on cruisers because of they can not sell the ones they have. All manufacturers are now offering the adventure style seating position whereby you are upright, arms relaxed and legs under you with feet slightly back. This position keeps your back straight naturally and avoids hunching. I found that I hunched on the Vespa and on my bike after riding a while. So the bikes to consider starting from My Dream bike to one that I actually might get is as follows: BMW R1200GS, Tiger 1200 Explorer, Tiger 800, BMW R700 GS, Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki Versys, Honda NC750…. Most likely of the two affordable for me would be the Tiger 800 2015 because it will have a wireless throttle and therefore will have a true cruise control which would be amazing for my wrist!
