A Great Man Died Last Night
He left this world after living 92 years
I met him in 1959 where he held me close to his heart
Saturday I held him close to my heart as his breaths slipped away slowly
Tonight I think back when he would wake me at 4:30 am to get to hockey
How he always stood beside me no matter what direction I chose
No matter what I achieved, he was so very proud
How he was a happily faithful husband to my mother for over 50 years
How he placed family first, ALWAYS
How he was faithful to GOD ALWAYS
Those who had the opportunity to know him were blessed
Those who did not missed out on something special
I will miss him dearly
I have known no greater man!

What a wonderful tribute to your father.
I lost my own father a few years ago. He would have been a contemporary of your father, and very much like him.
I think of my father every day. He is a constant presence, almost as if he had never gone.
