My wife was in tears when she got home last night and looked at the Vespa for sale.
I have received so many e-mails, comments on FaceBook and on the blog to make me question my sanity…. (New Plan… Save up and just buy a BMW F700 next season and keep the Vespa….)
Tears came into my eyes as I read this post. I am soooo happy you’re keeping the Vespa.
I am trying to save up money myself for a bigger bike, strictly for long-distance travel. The Vespa I’ll keep. It’s mostly my exclusive transportation for about six months of the year (I live in Boston).
All the best,
David

Ha ha ha!!! Too much.
Notice the restraint I showed. Not a single word of encouragement one way or the other. In my heart I doubted you would send the Vespa packing.
I even flipped your e-mail on the sale to a dear friend with a one word message: “Tempted?”
Peter, as you well know, there are legions of Vespa owners on MV who have Vespas, and a little something extra. Typically a Harley, or a Beemer. But the Vespa always manages to accumulate more miles than any of its stablemates. Sonja Mager’s Harley does get exercise, but nothing like her orange GTS.
Nice going! You had me worried there for a second. It’s a shame Chantal had to shed tears to get you to your epiphany though.

Happy to hear you’re keeping that baby. I have the identical Vespa. I bought it because of your YouTube video – top case installation.
Cheers,
